As emergency communication became one of my major interests, I started to maintain a little emergency communication station.

In my opinion the most important topic in emergency communication is a reliable power supply. Radios and antennas are easy to install or to assemble, but how to operate when the powerlines are destroyed after an earthquake or the flood has damaged all Gas stations near you... How will you operate your rig for at least 72 hrs in order to call for emergency staff or to give reports about the current situation within the critical area?

In case gas stations will provide fuel, Cars and their batteries will be reliable power feeds, in case not... I am relying on battery cells and solar power.

TRX: Yaesu FT-897D
TRX: Icom IC-703

I use 3 different masts for the Antenna errection: 6 Meter Tripod, 8 Meter Push-up, 12 Meter Glass-Fiber Rod.
