Why did I become a Ham-Op?
Well, that's easy to explain. At University I heard some Classes about severe weather phenomens, catastrophes or disasters, emergency services, etc. Beeing fascinated by mother earths power, I started to chase severe storm cells and got to know emergency communication via the skywarn echolink conference in order to report actual weather conditions. This was by the way the reason to get the license.
Even today one of my interests (next to general dx hunting ) is always trying to maintain a mobile emergency communication station.
